Occasionally glass is damaged within our workflows or received damaged from our suppliers.
All damaged glass is placed in skips and sent to recycling companies.
Glass is generally delivered in wooden crates. As we source stock from all over the world. It is uneconomical to send the cases back for reuse.
We have invested in machinery that crushes and compacts cases which is then sent to recycling companies.
Although we do not generate vast quantities. We have invested in machinery that condenses any polythene into bales to be sent to recycling companies.
Quite often glass delivered is separated by cardboard packaging to prevent damage. Any cardboard that we cannot reuse in our work processes is sent to recycling companies.
